Orientation
Orient the module so that the large RATE knob is at the top center and the circular patch points are at the bottom.
Top Zone
RATE Knob
Large knob at the very top center of the panel. The knob clicks into a notch when it’s at 12:00. Notes:
- at 12:00, the rate is frozen.
- Turning the knob clockwise increases the rate of LFO and phases occur in clockwise order.
- Turning the knob counter clockwise increases the rate of LFO, and phases occur in counter clockwise direction.
- Closest to 12:00 in either direction the rate will be slowest, and at its fastest the farther to the left or right you turn.
- If a clock source is connected, the rate knob will not do anything.
SYNC Jack
Small jack on the left side of the panel, level with the RATE knob.
MULTI / SINGLE Selector
A small toggle switch on the right side of the panel, level with the RATE knob. (multi/single).
WAVE Knob
Knob in the lower-left of the top zone. Controls the waveform shape. Order of waves (taken from the manual) are as follows from left to right:
- SINE
- RAMP
- Inverted absolute value of sine
- TRIANGLE
- PULSE
- absolute value of sine
- SAW
- S&H
FM LEVEL Knob
knob in the lower-right of the top zone.
Middle Zone - Outputs Section
The center of the panel is labeled “OUTPUTS” at the top of this section. Below the label is a stylized octopus illustration, with eight output jacks arranged in a circular/radial pattern around the body of the octopus. Colored LEDs (red and green) are positioned between the jacks, each LED corresponding to one output’s current phase position in the LFO cycle.
The eight output jacks are evenly spaced radially, like points on a clock face, roughly at positions corresponding to 10 o’clock, 12 o’clock, 2 o’clock, 3 o’clock, 4 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 8 o’clock, and 9 o’clock. Each jack carries the same LFO waveform shifted by a different phase offset (typically 45 degrees apart for eight equally spaced phases).
FM IN Jack
Located on the right side of the panel, roughly at the mid-right edge, above the lower zone. Labeled “FM IN.”
Bottom Zone - CV Inputs
WAVE CV Jack
Small jack at the bottom-left of the panel.
PHASE CV Jack
Small jack at the bottom-right of the panel.
